ABOUT US

Shelter Children’s Home (also known as Simba Village) is a home to over 138 children, many of whom were abused, vulnerable or orphaned, rescue from early marriages and from FGM. Shelter began as a women project in the year 1994 formerly being known as Shelter Women of Kenya. A group of women came together to help the street children and children from poor families.

Later on women began to pull out when the project could hardly stand on itself and all of them left leaving Mary to manage the project alone. Through the grace of God and the support from our friends and organizations we are able to put a smile and hope to these young children.
