WHY WE FARM

Creating food security
through the land we have.

Vegetable farming forms part of Shelter's wider effort to build sustainable systems around the home. By making productive use of available land, the project can contribute to the food needs of the home while also providing an environment for learning practical agricultural skills.

The project is centred around responsible cultivation, careful use of resources and continuous improvement of farming practices.

Small systems.
